Who is Comprehensive Healthcare?
Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages.
We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services.
What are we looking for in a Security Driver?
The Security Driver supports our mobile MAT services, a new program which will help us increase access to evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorders to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
The mobile MAT unit began providing services in March 2024, with the focus of providing medication assisted treatment daily to clients incarcerated at the Yakima County Justice Center, and plans to expand mobile MAT services to other hard-to-access populations throughout the greater Yakima community.
The primary responsibility of the Security Driver is to safely transport the mobile MAT treatment team and supplies to the assigned location each day while maintaining security of the unit at all times.
This includes picking up the unit from a secure location, driving it to our primary clinic to load supplies and staff, and transporting the team to a secure location within the Yakima County jail property.
In addition to providing transportation and security for the mobile MAT unit, the Security Driver may also provide backup assistance to other departments as needed, including possible work with our property management team, our office coordinators, or one of our inpatient treatment facilities, depending on the skills and interests of the candidate.
This position will require frequent interaction with staff from the Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Corrections, and Comprehensive Healthcare, so a collaborative attitude is essential for this role.
This position has a weekly schedule of Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-5:30pm for a total of 16 hours per week.
Since this role is part-time, it is not eligible for most employee benefits.
Security Driver duties may include:
safely operating the vehicle to designated locations following the assigned driving routes and schedules
conducting routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition to operate safely and notifying the appropriate departments if concerns are identified
maintaining security of the vehicle and surrounding areas, remaining alert and aware of surroundings at all times and monitoring for unusual activity or situations that could pose a potential safety risk
responding effectively to safety issues or incidents that arise, including de-escalating situations and applying conflict resolution skills
providing support to other departments throughout the workday as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Prior experience driving large vehicles, similar in size to a bus or RV
Must have incident-free driving record for the past 5 years, at minimum
Valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance - a CDL is not required
