00 per hour Schedule: 6am-3:30pm (Day) or 3:30pm-12am (Swing) Job Summary: Oasis Farms has an opening for an experience Forklift Driver.
The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
This is a seasonal position available from mid-June through mid-October.
The Forklift driver operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machine and loading docks, or trucks or storage facilities or other assigned areas as needed.
The incumbent must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities: The duties described below are not inclusive.
Additional duties may be permanently assigned or required from time to time due to the need to respond to customer needs and remain competitive in the marketplace.
1.
Daily operation of the powered industrial truck.
2.
Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material t to and from designated areas in the facility.
3.
Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or flatbeds.
Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
4.
Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
Additional Responsibilities: · Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
· Checking loads to ensure they are stored in a safe and a secure manner · Collecting and stacking empty pallets with forklift.
· Removing machine guards and waste material and other debris from machines.
· Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
· Dumping materials into waste bin for disposal on a daily basis.
· Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights · Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Skills and Competencies: The Forklift driver possesses a professional demeanor, and the following skills: good communication, knowledge of operating a forklift, teamwork, time management, and the desire for continuous professional development.

Education, Experience & Requirements • High school diploma or educational equivalent • 1-3 years of work-related experience or training • Previous packing house experience (preferred) • Forklift certification • Spanish/English speaking (preferred) • Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer required • Must be able to work 5days/ wk.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to endure the following: • Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, turn and pivot, and walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to frequently move supplies up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift weight consisting of 75 pounds.
· Good eye-hand-foot coordination · May be exposed to noisy, hot, extreme cold, dusty environments.
