Job Summary The Psychology Department at CWU is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time, part-time, quarterly and annual appointment lecturer positions to teach classes in the courses/subject areas listed below.
This list is not all inclusive: other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.
Instructors for on-line classes are also needed.
- General psychology - Lifespan development - Abnormal Psychology - Research Methods - Analysis of everyday behavior - Statistics - Learning - Physiological psychology - Cognitive psychology - Other undergraduate courses in psychology - Graduate courses in mental health counseling,school psychology, and/or experimental psychology Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher Preferred Qualifications Prior university teaching experience in the courses/subject areas listed above.
Preference will be given to Washington State residents.
Pay & Work Schedule Pay: Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement https://www.

edu/hr/labor-relations/ufc The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the 2022-2023 academic year will be as follows: (a) Lecturer: $1,110 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $887 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,221 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $975 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
Applicable Centers/Sites: Ellensburg (main campus), Des Moines, Lynnwood, Moses Lake, Pierce County, Wenatchee, Yakima Additional Information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of Psychology through March 2024.
There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed.
The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department.
Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter.
Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2024.
