Job Summary The American Indian Studies Program is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time, part-time, quarterly, and annual appointment lecturer positions to teach classes in the courses/subject areas listed below.
This list is not all inclusive: other courses/subject areas may become available within the program.
AIS 101-American Indian Culture Before Contact AIS 102-American Indian Culture in the Contact Period AIS 103-Contemporary American Indian Experience AIS 296-Individual Study AIS 321-American Indian Spirituality AIS 490-Cooperative Education AIS 491-Workshop AIS 496-Individual Study AIS 498-Special Topics Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in American Indian/Native American Studies, Anthropology, History or related field.
Appropriate teaching experience for the course(s) needed.
Preferred Qualifications Ph.
D.
in American Indian/Native American Studies, Anthropology, History or related field.
Successful teaching experience at a comprehensive university or community college.
Experience teaching multiple courses listed in Job Summary above.
Pay & Work Schedule Pay: Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement https://www.

php The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the 2023-2024 academic year will be: (a) Lecturer: $1,154 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $922 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,269 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,013 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
Applicable Centers/Sites: Ellensburg (main campus), Des Moines, Lynnwood, Moses Lake, Pierce County, Wenatchee, Yakima Additional Information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of American Indian Studies Program through March 2024.
There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed.
The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department.
Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter.
Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2024.

NOTE: Although copies of transcripts are acceptable for application purposes, all job offers are contingent upon verification of highest degree held.
Finalists will be required to submit official transcripts.
