Job Summary The Department of Education, Development, Teaching and Learning (EDTL) at CWU is accepting applications to fill future full-time and part-time lecturer positions to teach teacher preparation classes in Middle School Humanities.
We seek candidates who are Middle School generalists or who hold specialized educational endorsements for middle school in the Arts (visual and performance), Language Arts and Social Studies.
Other areas of need are curriculum design and assessment.
Candidates who hold multiple endorsements are welcomed.

The Department serves teaching candidates seeking a major in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Special Education.
Minors include Early Childhood Education, Literacy, Special Education, and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)/ Bilingual Education.
We offer Masters programs in Literacy, Special Education, and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)/ Bilingual Education.

We offer evening courses to many of our students, so educators who wish to teach in the evenings are welcomed.
Knowledge of online course delivery, specifically using the Canvas software, is helpful.
We offer courses at our Ellensburg campus and centers in Des Moines, Pierce, Wenatchee, and Yakima.

Minimum Qualifications Masters degree in Middle School, K-8, Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field.
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Middle School classroom teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching teacher preparation courses.
Experience working with diverse populations of learners.
Knowledge of online course preparation and delivery.
Pay & Work Schedule Pay: Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the 2024-2025 academic year will be as follows: (a) Lecturer: $1,188 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $950 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,307 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,044 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
Applicable Centers/Sites: Ellensburg (main campus), Des Moines, Pierce County, Wenatchee, and/or Yakima Additional Information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of Education, Development, Teaching and Learning through March 2025.
There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed.
The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department.
Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter.
Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2025.
