Job Summary Central Washington University is recruiting a Lecturer of Voice to join our Music/Theater team in Ellensburg, Washington.

The Role: Central Washington University Department of Music, Theater, and the College of Arts of Humanities invites applicants for a Full-Time, Non-Tenure Track Applied Voice Instructor to begin September 2024.
The candidate will teach individual Applied lessons to Classical Vocal Performance Majors, Music Education Majors, Bachelor of Arts Voice Majors, and BFA Musical Theater Majors.
We seek a passionate musical colleague with a strong commitment to vocal health and functional vocal production, musical competencies, diction, expression, and character development.
Additional duties such as supporting opera scenes and productions as a director or musical coach, and/or teaching other voice related subjects will be considered based on departmental needs and available workload and the candidate's qualifications and experience.
We seek candidates with demonstrated potential to contribute effectively to a faculty team dedicated to creating a positive, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population.

Minimum Qualifications Please address in your cover letter: Master's degree in Music Demonstrated excellence and experience in successful teaching Willingness to teach Applied lessons to a range of Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Fine Arts vocal students at all levels Commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students.
Preferred Qualifications (please address in your cover letter:) Earned doctorate in music Professional performance experience in opera and/or musical theater Experience teaching at the University level Experience incorporating multicultural perspectives into teaching for 21st century leadership.
Experience working in a diverse environment and/or utilizing a variety of teaching methods designed for broad student success.
Demonstrated participation in programs designed to promote inclusion.
