JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB SUMMARY: Assists in creating an educational, exciting, fun, safe, and friendly environment that provides casino hotel team members with a quality on-site childcare facility.

Supervises the activities in assigned area(s).
Maintain daily open communication with parents.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Maintain a neat and clean classroom.
Maintain current knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Development.
Creates lesson plans weekly which implements early childhood learning.
Assist Childcare Supervisors with both long- and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Trains Caregivers in properly setting up class projects.
Participates in center events.
Gives feedback to the other staff on class lessons.
Maintain confidentiality.
Report any suspect abuse to Childcare Supervisor.
Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is and present for the guest and their team.
Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency
Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos’ Purpose, Values and objectives while utilizing research, knowledge, and experience.
Proactively shares guest feedback with executive management and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Seeks to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.
Finds ways to make good use of their strengths and talents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SUPERVISION EXCERCISED: None.
LICENSE REQUIRED: Must obtain and hold a Class II gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
Must have 2 years verifiable past work experience in a Childcare setting.
Twenty (20) hours basic Stars Training initially, with ten (10) hours continuing Stars Training.
Must be able to obtain First aid card/CPR, Food Handlers card.
Must have TB Test prior to hire.
Prefer 30 hours Initial Training through an approved training provider or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Prefer Early Childhood Certificate.
Will be required to enroll in classes to obtain if certificate not completed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting children or heavy items (up to 50#’s unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
Must be able to work safely in an environment containing biological conditions which may be unhealthy or hazardous (such as bodily fluids and waste, germs, childhood disease).
