Minimum Requirements:
Washington State Secondary Principal’s Credential; Masters Degree in Educational Administration or related field.
Valid Teaching Certificate.
Minimum of 7 years teaching experience preferred.

Skills:
Possesses the ability to interact easily, effectively and positively with students, staff, parents and community.
Possesses knowledge and experience with professional learning communities and understanding of the CEL 5D+ instructional framework.
Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people in different situations.
Ability to contribute in a teamwork environment at the school and district level
Ability to supervise co-curricular activities essential to the well-being of a comprehensive high school, lead curricular adoptions, supervise and evaluate staff, communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, assist in the development of professional development the building and district level, etc.
The ability and desire to work long hours outside the normal school day.
This may include weekends, late morning/nights, and times with little notice.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with parents, staff, and community concerning the school program, system policies and procedures, including student management issues and discipline.
Design and implement structures for effective and efficient operations including school safety, classroom and school-wide behavior management, and other issues to improve student learning opportunities.
Facilitate problem solving when conflicts arise between parents and school staff, students and school staff or within school staff.
Supervise events and oversee student activities and athletic programs.
Dances (usually 4), Ramapaloozas (usually 1-2), all athletic events, end of the year celebrations, Graduation, Assemblies, Clubs Days, Assessments etc…)
Support different programs (Mr.
WV, Rams on the Red Carpet, Band and Choir Concerts, Spoken Word, Knowledge Bowl, JROTC Meets, JROTC Banquets, FFA Plant Sale, FFA Farm Days, School Fair Activities, Dress Up Days etc…).
Direct, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel.
Possesses a depth of knowledge regarding the CCSS, curriculum, instruction, assessment, technology, special educational programs and legal issues.
Assist in implementing curriculum, program, and grade level requirements.
Understand and work with any of our online platforms that our staff or students utilize.
Work collaboratively with the High School Administrative Team to monitor and implement the School Improvement Plan.
Attend meetings and serve as a facilitator and/or advisor as necessary.
Supervise the operation and care of the building, grounds, and other school property.
Maintain accurate school records and reports as required.
Prepare a variety of reports and correspondence as required by the District and State.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
