Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.

General Summary: Responsible for students’ clinical progress and the achievement of clinical training milestones.
The Clinic Director provides guidance, monitoring, and direct clinical supervision to their assigned students and promotes comprehensive patient care.
They are responsible for implementing clinical policies and clinical management to assure consistent daily operations, clinical workflows, appraised clinical assessments, calibration of clinical faculty, and consistent application of the SDM’s mission, vision, and philosophy of patient care.
The Clinic Director will be the primary contact with the respective community clinic partner regarding the operations of the clinic and the conduct of the students.
Clinic Directors are expected to model professionalism in oral health care at its best.
Clinic Directors will supervise all assigned SDM dental faculty and staff at their respective clinics.
Clinic Directors is supervised by the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs.
Academic rank will be awarded based on clinical and academic experience.
Essential Job Functions: • Oversee the students, faculty and staff assigned to the community-based clinic and are responsible for the management of all patient care delivered within the clinic • Provide didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral program • Provide service to the school and university through participation on committees, etc.
