*ABOUT YAKIMA COUNTRY CLUB* Since its inception in 1916, Yakima Country Club has long been regarded as the premier private club in Yakima and one of the finest golf courses in all Central Washington.
In addition, the finest golf in the region, Yakima Country Club is also regarded as one of the premier venues for high-end events including weddings, meetings and receptions and first-class dining.
*POSITION OVERVIEW* This position is responsible for maintenance and janitorial tasks in the Clubhouse, Swimming Pool, and Tennis Facilities.
The Director of Maintenance reports directly to the General Manager.
Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
*SKILLS REQUIRED* Demonstrated knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety precautions to be observed while performing duties.
Skilled in the use of a variety of hand/power tools.
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and carpentry.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to diagnose routine maintenance problems and perform repairs.
Ability to develop a preventative maintenance program.
Position requires a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a similar operation.
*GENERAL DUTIES* The Director of Maintenance’s duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed below.
He/she will perform special projects, tasks and attend meetings as directed by the General Manager *DAILY* Supervises clubhouse contract cleaning vendor.
Inspects cleanliness and order of clubhouse, particularly for areas likely to be overlooked in daily routine.
Orientates and plans work of janitorial employees.
Compiles and maintains work assignments for routine maintenance.
Orders and maintains all janitorial and maintenance supplies and equipment.
Maintains cleanliness of janitorial/maintenance work areas Performs general repairs and maintenance of clubhouse, locker rooms, kitchen, and pool locker rooms, to include minor plumbing, electrical and construction work.
Consults with the General Manager on outside maintenance services necessary.
Communicates with General Manager on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of facilities.
Performs minor building construction as instructed by General Manager Identify and report safety hazards to General Manager Identify needed repairs to General Manager Touch up and paint rooms that need painting in clubhouse.
Service the water-softener.
Assist when needed with the set up and break down the dance floor for special occasions.
*SEASONALLY* Pressure washes the Tennis courts (4-day job) Clean Pool and deck (For Opening and Closing Season) Assist with golf tournament and summer camp set up.
Winterize all buildings.
*PERIODIC* Read water meter and sub-meters.
Check all restroom exhaust fans, clean and service.
Work on scheduled maintenance items (maintain a schedule) Spot check clubhouse equipment for performance Change filter on all air-conditioner units.
Interior and exterior painting *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* Ability to lift various objects up to 80 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work overhead for extended periods.
Ability to climb over, under and around objects during repair and maintenance.
