Volunteers needed long term American Red Cross (Yakima)

Are you looking to give back to the community? At the American Red Cross We are looking for many different positions.
When you sign up with us you will need to pass a basic background check and do some basic training videos online either at home or at our local office in Yakima.
The following positions are what we are looking for at this moment: *Mass Care Volunteer- These volunteers respond out and feed our local firefighters and other organization's as well as opening shelters when a disaster strikes.
*Disaster Action Team Member - Respond out to home fires and other disasters to open cases for clients when needed after they lost there home.
This team time frame for response is a on call response.
*Duty Officer - Work from home after basic training, Taking calls on a shift to dispatch volunteers out to a home fire or sheltering.
This volunteer after being trained works from home and works a 8 hour shift.
* Preparedness Presenter - Teaching local community's and schools about preparedness.
We have wonderful programs we offer with this position.
* Last but not least ( Home Fire install's ) - Installing Fire Alarms in low income homes that need replacement smoke alarms at no cost to the client.
We would prepare them with a escape plan and install alarms in homes that they own.
