Tiverton is seeking a proactive and resourceful Portfolio Reporting Sr.
Associate who can provide the highest quality financial reporting and accounting knowledge for Tiverton’s investments in the Pacific Northwest.
The role will work closely with portfolio company’s leadership to ensure the accuracy of month-end financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and assisting with strategic initiatives.
Job Description
Preparation of consolidated accounts, receipts, and disbursements, ordering and billing, tax compliance and strategy, and direction over the accounting systems and internal control functions for the portfolio companies and investments
Work with accounting teams on monthly financial reporting, including financial statement compilation and management discussion and analysis drafting
Responsible for the completion and oversight of an accurate month-end close and monthly account reconciliations
Ensure the accuracy of bank reconciliations for multiple accounts in the tree-fruit farming operations, maintaining up-to-date financial records and tracking cash flow from fruit sales, farming expenses, and packing activities
Assist with the preparation of strategic financial analysis and reporting to Tiverton, including budget information, strategic planning, reporting, and other analyses as required
Assist with tax reporting and strategy for the Company, including federal and state income tax, quarterly sales tax, and other analyses as necessary
Identify and implement continuous improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting, internal controls, and finance processes
Complete ad hoc projects, reports, and analysis as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or other related majors
CPA credentials preferred or significant knowledge of all relevant accounting principles
4+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus
Knowledge of food and agricultural production is a plus
Public accounting, financial analysis, or equivalent for a minimum of 2-3 years
Fluent in Microsoft Office products, emphasis on Excel
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills
