We are seeking a highly motivated *Accounting and Human Resources (HR) Specialist* with demonstrated experience to join our team.
The Accounting/HR Specialist performs a key role in our organization, responsible for a wide range of activities that support our financial, HR, and administrative functions.
This position requires a blend of skills in accounting, human resources, and general administration.
The successful candidate is a versatile professional able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all processes.
*Accounting and Financial Responsibilities:* * Support and assist the Chief Financial Officer with accounting and finance functions.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Manage credit card expenses, including receipt collection, approval, and accounting coding.
* Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
* Maintain and organize vendor contracts, accounts payable, and receivable files.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP, Tax, FAR, and other statutory regulations.
* Prepare 1099 forms, unclaimed property returns, property tax returns, B&O tax returns, and other compliance items as required.
* Assist in the billing and invoicing processes, including drafting, reviewing, and finalizing invoices.
*Human Resources Responsibilities:* * Support and assist the HR Manager with HR functions.
* Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
* Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs like health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness programs.
* Support the payroll process by gathering and verifying timesheets, processing payroll data, and addressing payroll queries.
* Help coordinate the performance review processes, including scheduling reviews and collecting evaluation forms.
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of documents such as employee handbooks, performance appraisal forms, and safety manual.
*Qualifications:* * A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; however, substantial accounting experience may be considered as a degree substitute.
* Ideal candidates will bring 3-5 years of accounting experience to our team, with prior HR experience considered a valuable asset.
* Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Familiarity with HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Motivated, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel, and technical ability to self-learn industry software.
We offer a competitive monthly salary ranging from $4,000 to $6,000, reflective of your experience and hours worked.
