Founded by passionate and clinically-devoted Board Certified Behavior Analysts, we are committed to the success of our clients and to the career growth of our clinicians and staff! *DESCRIPTION:* *Medical Billing and Payroll Specialist* Aim Star Learning is looking for an exceptional person to assist in medical billing and payroll.
Duties of the Billing and payroll specialist include assisting our medical biller and payroll supervisor to submit billing to insurance and payroll for processing.
You will also be responsible for providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities.
Experience in medical billing/reimbursement and payroll is preferred but we are willing to train.
Work with a fun, supportive team of dedicated behavior therapists.
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.

We would consider full time hours from the start for the right candidate* *RESPONSIBILITIES:* *Medical Billing* * Management of Insurance process * Submit billing claims to insurance companies * Manage patient accounts and payments * Understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and follow through * Research and resolve insurance denials and report findings to management * Identify reason for claim rejection and complete proper action to ensure timely billing.
*Payroll* * Prepare and maintain employee and client rosters and files * Manage payroll, reimbursements, and status changes.
* Prepare and maintain employee client rosters and files * Review timesheets and wage computations and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
* Ensure accurate and on-time submittals of client and employee timesheets * Process paperwork for new employees and enter information for new employees into payroll system.
* Compile and report on employee time, production, and payroll data from timesheets and other records.
* Track data and prepare management reports (reports include but are not limited to: potential client list, contract fulfillment, billable percentages, timesheets, turnover, applicant tracking, P&L) * Provide backup scheduling support.
*Operations* * Implement and represent Aim Star Learning policy enthusiastically * Maintain client and employee privacy in accordance with HIPAA and PHI regulations * Assist with changing organizational needs as it relates to business systems, legal practices, HIPAA compliance, and technology.
* Follow the policies and procedures of Aim Star Learning, PLLC * Other duties as assigned *Qualifications of the Billing/ Payroll Specialist* Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, administration or management preferred * 2+ years of experience as an office, practice, or clinic manager in a medical/ healthcare organization.
* Knowledge of insurance billing and claims complexities * 2+ years of experience managing payroll * Provider, employee, and insurance company relations * Detail oriented and excellent time management skills * Self-starter, teamwork/collaboration * Ability to work in a noisy, fast paced environment around children * Ability to prioritize, problem solve and multi-task * Excellent written and verbal communication skills including phone and e-mail etiquette * Ability to hold staff accountable for payroll and claims process.
* Effective time management skills * Ability to execute active listening and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional customer service * Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels * Positive, friendly attitude who will promote a positive work environment * Must be flexible and adaptable to rapid changes in the daily work environment and be resourceful in solving problems.
* Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook; strong knowledge of all MS Office programs.
* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a frequent basis.
* Ability to work for extended hours sitting at a computer.
