What are we looking for in a Program Manager? The Program Manager for the Youth Mobile Outreach team is a dual role serving as both clinician and supervisor for youth outreach services in Yakima County.
The goal of the Youth Mobile Outreach team is to reduce the use of emergency departments, hospitals, and detention centers for young people experiencing a crisis by offering an alternative for support and access to services in the community when a mental health emergency does occur.
The clinical portion of this role includes meeting in the community with youth who are experiencing a crisis and working to de-escalate and stabilize the crisis and connect the youth with services.
In addition to outreach services, the Program Manager also provides clinical supervision and administrative oversight to the Youth Mobile Outreach team.
This role requires a confident clinician who is able to provide feedback and motivate others, while also exercising excellent clinical judgment and effective communication skills.
Previous supervisory experience and experience providing crisis services is helpful.
This position has a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm weekly schedule, with required participation in the rotation for after-hours crisis call coverage for three consecutive days every three weeks.
