Benefits (FULL TIME EMPLOYEES ONLY) Competitive Pay Paid Time Off 401k plan Employee Assistance Program Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Duties and Responsibilities The Medication Technician (med aide) coordinates resident care related to medications by working with the resident, other departments, the medical community, families and administrative staff to provide for resident needs with continuity and an adherence to the scope of practice and licensure for the community.
Maintains and documents in the Medication Assistance Record Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents.
Promotes resident independence and self-care.
Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents.
Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered.
Completes incident reports accurately and timely.
Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses.
Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.
Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident.
Provides complete supervision of the medication cart and/or room, pass techniques, documentation and supervision and provision of care related to medication in the community.
Must hold a caregiver certification and/or credentials in accordance with state law, may need to possess current state certification and follow regulations to maintain certification currency.
Pass a criminal background check Demonstrate freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis upon hire and annually Must have word processing skills Must have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations Must complete all state required trainings as necessary High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience
