Position Summary: The Shipping coordinator is responsible for administrating domestic and international shipments.
Internally, the Coordinator will interact with personnel and departments along the fulfillment workflow leading to product realization and readiness to ship.
Externally, the Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with transportation vendors to assure consistent supply and service level to customers.
The coordinator works to measure and improve customer service by advising / recommending transportation modes, timing, service level, equipment needed and evaluating competitive transportation costs.
Primary Responsibilities:
50%- Shipping:
Reviews shipping instructions for accuracy
Prepares all necessary shipping documents for domestic and international orders, following established SOP’s for transportation compliance
Accurate and timely use of the SharePoint workspace transportation management tool.
Communicates and advises across various departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitors shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery to meet customer requirements
45%- Freight:
Communicates the various details of the shipment with freight companies:
requesting freight quotes
scheduling and making transportation bookings with carriers
monitor product and documentation readiness for dispatch
creating and distributing applicable documentation
confirming/scheduling pickups
processing freight claims
monitor carrier performance and provide feedback to carrier representatives for service improvements
Meets with freight vendors and attend other team building activities.
Recommend areas for process improvement to maintain streamlined processes.
5%- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:

Work a scheduled 40-hour work week.
Hours worked over 40 per week will be paid as overtime.
Must be flexible and able to work additional time and weekends as business may require.

policies and procedures, including successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Must comply with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and be trained on procedures applicable to the requirements of the position, including managing significant quality, environmental, and food safety aspects.
Qualifications:
Required:
Shipping and/or logistics experience.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including ability to communicate in a courteous and tactful manner with co-workers and customers
Strong administrative, typing, computer, and word processing skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Experience with general office equipment and procedures.
Prior success in detail-oriented roles and strong in attention to detail.
Excellent problem solving skills and adaptability.
Preferred:
Knowledge or previous experience in the Hop Industry beneficial.
Experience managing multiple competing priorities successfully
Experience working with transportation vendors to ensure timely delivery of product

Pay: $44,800 to $67,200 per year with a target starting salary of $44,800 to $56,000.
Please keep in mind this range represents the range for all positions in the pay grade within which this position falls.
The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience and if applicable, location.
