Current Washington RN license.
Must maintain current BCLS, ACLS, AND PALS certification.
Trauma Nursing Core Course is recommended.
Experience:
Requires 3-5 years of previous experience.
Previous management experience desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Washington.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and proficient in computer charting.
Demonstrates positive customer service orientation toward patient, family, physician, clients and co-workers.
Ability to function and/or communicate under stress and maintain professional behavior.
Possess mechanical ability and aptitude.
Supervise staff RN(s), staff LPN II(s), Certified Nurse Assistant, Unit Secretary(s), Monitor Technician(s), and Nurse Tech II’s.
Continuously utilizes the nursing process (assess, plan, implement and evaluate), to assume responsibility for the delivery of direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
Frequently provides direction and/or supervision of associated personnel.
Continuously demonstrates commitment to professional self-development as an integral part of the nursing process.
Continuously is an active participant and contributor in quality improvement of the department and supports unit and hospital goals
Continuously demonstrates and/or understands computer charting.
Performs other related work as required.
