General Summary:
This position will assist with the development of curriculum and accreditation requirements focused on the incorporation and instruction of digital dentistry in the DMD program.
The position also requires teaching/instruction in the predoctoral program in didactic, simulation, and clinical environments.
Academic rank will be awarded based on clinical and academic experience.
Essential Job Functions:
• Provides classroom, simulation lab, and clinical instruction in digital dentistry.
• Oversees the digital dentistry curriculum within the pre-doctoral program.
• In conjunction with the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and the Community Clinic Directors, provides oversight to the faculty supporting the clinical program regarding digital dentistry.
• Provides regular calibration/CE sessions on digital dentistry for all clinical faculty as described in the SDM Faculty Onboarding and Calibration Program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental needs.
Requirements:
Education:
• Required: DMD or DDS degree from a CODA accredited program
Experience:
• Required: 1-3 years
• Required: Experience in digital dentistry and digital workflow
• Preferred: Teaching Experience
