TRAINING & REQUIRED LICENSES RN License BSN or higher preferred CHPQ certification preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of people Ability to lead, direct, guide, and support staff and others.
Familiarity with hospital departments and processes Effective written, oral, and presentation skills Expert knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements.

Strong problems skills and the ability to synthesize complex and diverse information.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively; is self-motivated.
Knowledge of data collection methods and understanding of statistical data Responsible for Quality Management and Improvement activities.
Coordinate with System Quality Director for implementing and maintaining overall quality structure and direction.
Designs and implements hospital-wide departmental QI programs in coordination with System Director.
Develops profiles to analyze patterns and trends related to quality and outcomes for department directors and medical staff departments.
Promotes philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement to identify problems, analyze variations, and improve complex processes and systems to enhance the quality of patient care.
Provides administrative support to the Quality Improvement Committee and serves as a liaison between the Committee and the Board.
Plans and directs the medical staff quality assurance program.
Ensures quality profiles for physicians are accurate and timely.
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory compliance of hospital policies and procedures Undertakes quality initiatives and audits.
Coordinates with risk manager when needs are identified.
Expert knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and directs strategies to ensure continued readiness.
Working knowledge of regulatory standards ie; DOH, CMS, TJC, state QIO and legislative and legal requirements.
Directs the hospital-wide preparation and oversight of regulatory readiness.
Assists as the onsite administrative liaison for all external regulatory agencies.
Coordinates and develops response to any regulatory request.
Assists with the design and development of effective analytical methods pertaining to clinical studies, special projects and quality improvement.
Advises and directors managers on the interpretation of regulatory requirements to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
Attends all meetings of medical staff departments and Quality Improvement Council, as appropriate Manages staff in planning, set up, and data collection for Quality Improvement measures and initiatives.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day.
The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation.
Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
