General ResponsibilitiesUnder the general direction of the Assistant Director of Behavioral Health, the Mental Health Therapist works as part of the treatment team to provide direct counseling and therapeutic support to students.

83 - $65,655.
60 annually / $33.
73 - 41.
03 hourlyMental Health Therapist II: $58,820.
97 - $71,564.

73 hourlyIMPORTANT: Offers are made at the entry level of the range.
Salary placement will be determined based on experience, education and licenses held.
Assignment:The position will be full-time and will work a 200 days per year.
The work calendar will generally follow a school year schedule, but will include 2 days per week during the summer break.
This position serves K-12 age groups for the following school districts: Glenwood, Klickitat and Trout Lake.
Travel throughout Klickitat County will be required to fulfill the functions of this role and reimbursed in accordance with ESD 112 travel policies and procedures.
Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions: Work with students and their guardians in the development of an individual support plan which is strength based, measurable, and assists students in meeting their goals.
Provide individual, family and group counseling, provide care coordination services as indicated for students in accordance with the individual support plan and evaluation recommendations.
Work in an environment with students with mental health challenges including but not limited to self-injurious behaviors.
Assess for need and submit referrals as clinically indicated for students on caseload.
Administer and assess evidence-based measurement tools to track student improvement, success and readiness for service conclusion.
Maintain complete and timely documentation as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations.
Support and implement ESD 112 agency policies and procedures.
Actively participate as a member of multidisciplinary team including but not limited to guardians and other natural supports, IEP teams, school and district staff, community treatment team members, and other team members as indicated.
Provide consultation, education and training for staff as directed by the program director or supervisor.
Other Functions: Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for students.
Participate in staff and team meetings, in-service programs, workshops and seminars.
Maintain knowledge of best practices in the mental health field.
Support extracurricular activities.
Teach group lessons on social skills and conflict resolution.
Coordinate and manage student 504 Plans.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
Experience working with social/emotional at-risk youth.
Experience with social/emotional support or therapy.
Hold or ability to obtain a unrestricted Washington license (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW).
Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience and understanding of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), including multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).
Experience working in a school setting.
Experience working with Special Education students and/or programs.
Familiar with Washington mental health agencies and resources.
Bilingual.
Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements: Travel throughout ESD 112 region.
Variety of settings including students' homes, office and school environment.
Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
Employment Requirements - ESD job offer is contingent upon satisfying the following: Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the WA state patrol and FBI.
