Position Summary
The Housekeeper maintains cleanliness of all areas of Yakima Valley Memorial to ensure standards of health, safety, and infection control.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Cleans assigned areas of the hospital efficiently and completely.
2.
Maintains cleaning equipment.
3.
Keeps hospital clean by picking up debris from floors in hallways.
4.
Follows daily and weekly cycle cleaning requirements.
5.
Works with mops, vacuums, carpet sweepers, brushes, brooms, and housekeeping chemicals and cleaners.
Manage linen and housekeeping carts.
6.
Organize on-duty time to accommodate workload, including unanticipated changes in assignments.
7.
Ensures adequate levels of soap, paper, and other supplies are maintained.
8.
Observes and reports any needed repair of equipment, furniture, building and fixtures as necessary to Environmental Services Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience: Housekeeping experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required dependent on work area.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.
As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.
The pay scale is $15.
