Route Driver? Read on to see how you can jumpstart your career! Your Day-to-Day: Keep DOT logs according to regulations.
Comply at all times with URM’s safety regulations.
Responsible for accurately unloading the customer’s order case by case (case weights are from a minimum of 1 pound up to 80 pounds).
Unload cases of product manually with pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate onto and off the truck.
Drivers will unload products inside of trailer consisting of three temperature-controlled compartments.
(Frozen: 0 to -5 °C) (Chilled: 35-40 °C) (Ambient: room temperature) Configure routes when necessary to help improve service levels to customers.
Provide efficient, productive operations of company and product.
Verify order to ensure correct products loaded.
Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order.
Make sure the load is properly secured.
Work is performed in all weather conditions Weekends, and some holidays are required Some overnight routes On average drivers will drive around 1200 miles a week.
This can be more or less, pending the route.
Nearly 70 trucks in our fleet! Provide quality customer service at all times.
Desired Qualifications: Food Service and or Route Delivery Experience a plus Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Able to read and follow instructions Good verbal communication Ability to lift, push or move freight that weighs an average of 40-80 pounds and as much as 100 pounds Flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays as necessary License or Certification Required: Valid Class A driver’s license Doubles Endorsement preferred, or willing to pursue shortly/immediately after hiring Current DOT medical card Clean driving record Why Join Our Team?
