What We Offer * SUD Professional: $21-$26/hour DOE * SUD Trainee: $17-$22/hour DOE * $3,000 hiring bonus in first paycheck, $2,000 bonus at 12 months.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties * Ensures the provision of an effective treatment process including: A.
Assessments are comprehensive and completed within required timeframes.
B.
Documentation of patient progress is evident in the client record.
C.
Treatment plan reviews and updates occur per WAC requirements.
D.
Submits individual compliance/non-compliance reports within required timeframes.
* Diagnoses alcohol and substance abuse disorders.
* Creates, recommends, monitors, and documents patient treatment plans.
* Understands proper scoring of all instruments and tools.
* Clinical records are accurate and complete according to relevant YVFWC and regulatory standards.
* Uses the Patient Placement Criteria (PPC) of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) in admission, continued stay and discharge/transfer decisions in accordance with WAC regulations.
* Maintains evaluation case reports and documents progress of attainment of goals.
* Provides individual and group counseling sessions.
* Provides case management activities, i.

, determines eligibility for treatment needs, locates housing, medical care, childcare, emergency assistance and other needed services.
* Coordinates health care treatment with other Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) professionals.
* Completes contact logs for all engagement and outreach efforts per required contract documentation.
* Understands and uses billing principles accurately including substance use disorder terminology, and procedure codes.
Accurately completes billing documentation per established procedures.
* Provides clear and timely written reports to courts and probation officers as needed.
* Establishes relationships with community organizations and Local and State agencies to identify and assist individuals in need of services.
* Presents to and/or trains YVFWC staff, schools, and community groups on substance use disorders.
* Participates in all outreach and engagement under the supervision of the SUD Supervisor.
* Completes contact logs for all engagement and outreach efforts per required contract documentation.
* Participates in the development and provision of co-occurring disorder programs for individuals with mental health and substance use disorder needs.
* Complies with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) regulations, Chain of Custody procedures, Communicable Disease and Exposure Control Plan and Policy, professional codes of ethics, and YVFWC policies and procedures.
* Participates in the development and revision of procedures that reflect regulatory requirements.
* Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
We will hire either SUD Professional or SUD Trainee depending on qualifications of person hired.
SUD Professional Qualifications * Education: Associate of Art's (AA) Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Sociology.
Completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester credits from an approved school per WAC 246-811-030 may substitute for required Associate of Arts (AA) degree.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant field preferred.
* Experience: Experience working with both youth and adults preferred.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting preferred.
* Professional Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current Substance Use Disorder Professional license in the State of Washington.
Current First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card or obtained within 45 days of employment.
Bloodborne pathogens training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B training within 30 days of hire.
Current Washington State driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 10 on the language proficiency scale to receive bilingual differential pay.
Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion.
Knowledge of community resources, and demonstrated skills in engagement and motivating individuals to improve their health.
Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
Public speaking and facilitation skills.
Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills with individuals and groups.
Basic proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge and skills in the use of electronic health records preferred.
SUD Trainee Qualifications * Education: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and completion of, or enrolled in, a Substance Use Disorder studies program.
Note: Must complete SUDP studies program within two years of employment.
* License/Certificate: * State Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee Certification in Washington State.
* HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B training within 30 days of hire.
* Bloodborne pathogens training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
* Current First Aid/CPR card or obtained within 45 days of hire.
* Current Driver's License and auto liability insurance.
